This tutorial was developed for my bachelor thesis (which was about the influence of cognitive load on the formation of a quality judgment about an interactive VR environment).
The tutorial has a simple narrative, through wich the user is guided by a little robot. It explains the different interactions which are arranged according to increasing levels of difficulty.
Decisions about the design were based on the principles of multimedia learning. In a small study, participants showed a high level of satisfaction with the tutorial. In addition to the tutorial, 5 simple scenes with tasks were created and used in the study conducted for the thesis.
The 3D content (models, textures, animations) for the tutorial was created by me, as well as the scripts in the scene. For the audio, a mixture of self-made clips and online libraries was used. The robot's voice was generated with the Microsoft Azure Text-to-Speech-Service.
The other scenes consist of a mixture of online library assets and self-made ones.
The tutorial has 10 sections which focus on different interactions. In order, they are Looking around -> Boundary -> Virtual button -> Objects -> Throwing -> Teleporting -> Transport -> Menu -> Remote control -> Practice time.
